Complete your profile and portfolio
On this page
Your profile is your showcase: it’s what brands look at before inviting or choosing you. To appear in the catalogue and apply, you need a complete profile and at least 2 videos in your portfolio. Everything is managed under Portfolio and profile.
The Portfolio and profile tabs
| Tab | What you manage |
|---|---|
| Portfolio | Your sample videos |
| Profile and content | Categories, text about your content, brands and details about how you create |
| Social media | Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, with your followers |
| Reviews | Ratings from brands |
| Settings | Email, password, holiday mode and account deletion |
| Notifications | Which alerts you want to receive |
Your portfolio
- Click Upload video or drag your videos to the upload area.
- Up to 8 videos. With 2 or more, your portfolio appears as Complete.
- MP4, MOV or WebM formats. Recommended: vertical 9:16.
- Each video can be up to 5 GB and 10 minutes long.
- You can upload several at once: they upload in the background while you continue using HICARI.
- If you reach 8, click Remove on one of them to upload a new one.

Profile and content
- Categories: choose all those that match what you do (beauty, food, technology, fitness, home, pets…).
- About your content: this is the text brands read on your profile. Minimum 20 characters, with no links, contact details or @ symbols.
- Brands you have worked with: optional, up to 30.
- Details about how you create: where you record, formats, languages, appearance, equipment or editing software. These are optional, but they help brands know whether you fit their brief.
Social media
In the Social media tab, add your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube username or URL and click Save and sync to import your followers. If synchronisation fails, you can enter your follower count manually and activate the network using the toggle.

Having your social media active matters for two reasons:
- Some requests ask you to publish the video on a specific network: you can only apply if it is linked and active.
- Publishing on your social media is charged separately. With more than 6,000 followers on a network, you can set your own rate per post on that network, never below the default rate.
Tips for a profile that makes an impression
- Clear profile photo, showing your face and with good lighting: it’s the first thing brands see.
- Specific text: what type of videos you make, which sectors you work in and what sets you apart.
- Up-to-date portfolio: replace old videos with your best recent work.
- Complete details: the more details you provide, the easier it is for a brand to see that you’re a good fit.
- Speed: reply quickly in the chat and use the app; it improves your visibility score.
Once your profile is ready, the next step is to find work in Opportunities.
