Chat with brands: rules
On this page
In Messages, you talk to brands before and during each collaboration. It’s the channel for resolving questions, agreeing on the script, and sharing references. Always communicating through HICARI’s chat protects your payment and your rights.
When you can chat
- Public requests: when you apply, the brand can write to you to get to know you before choosing.
- Private invitations: you can open the chat before accepting to resolve questions.
- During the collaboration: from the collaboration itself, using Open chat.
The chat closes if the collaboration is canceled or if the invitation expires or is withdrawn.
Chat rules
The same rule applies during the collaboration: “Don’t negotiate prices, share external contact details, or suspicious links in the chat.” In practice:
- Don’t negotiate prices: the amount is set by the request and you see it before accepting.
- Don’t share external contacts: no email, phone number, or other social networks to talk outside HICARI.
- Don’t suggest working outside HICARI: the terms of use prohibit contacting the brand outside the platform for 6 months.
- Always be respectful: no harassment, spam, or inappropriate content.
Attachments
You can attach files of up to 200 MB (in the app, up to 10 per message): script proposals, references, or image tests. Final videos aren’t sent through the chat: they’re delivered in Video delivery, within the collaboration. We explain it in Delivering your videos and managing reviews.
Report and block
- Report: choose the reason (harassment, spam, scam, inappropriate content, or other) and, if you want, add details. Our team will review it.
- Block: the conversation disappears from your inbox and you won’t receive any more messages from that brand.
New message notifications
- If you have unread messages, we’ll send you an email reminder after 48 hours.
- With the app, you receive a push notification for each new message if you have notifications enabled.
