How to prevent revisions in HICARI

On this page

Most revisions can be avoided before filming. A clear brief and a quick conversation with the creator will save you days of back-and-forth.

1. Write a clear brief

Always include:

  • The video's main message.
  • Mandatory phrases and what must not be said.
  • Essential scenes or shots, such as the product in hand or in use.
  • The style: natural, dynamic, testimonial…
  • The duration and format.
  • The language and, if relevant, the accent. The brief does not have a language field: indicate it in the description.
  • References: you can add up to 3 links.

You can find a complete example in How to write a good brief.

2. Decide who will write the script

  • The brand provides the script: you write it in the editor or attach a PDF or Word file (up to 10 MB). Mark which phrases must be used verbatim.
  • The creator writes the script: leave your notes for the creator and they will send you a proposal in the chat for you to approve before filming. Approve it in writing in the chat.

3. Talk to the creator before filming

Use Messages to validate the script, location, wardrobe, or how the product should appear. You can also send files, such as your logo or packaging photos. We explain it in messages with creators.

4. Choose the creator carefully

If their portfolio already resembles what you are looking for, there will be fewer surprises. See how to choose the right creator.

5. If you send a product, make sure it arrives in time

The creator needs to have it before filming. Check how to send your product to the creator.

6. Review with a checklist before requesting changes

  • Does it follow the script and include the key messages?
  • Is the main message clear in the first few seconds?
  • Is the product shown sufficiently and clearly?
  • Are the duration, formats, and hooks what you requested?
  • Is the audio clear and are the subtitles correct?
  • Does the pace fit the platform where you will publish it?

If everything is fine, approve it. If not, combine all the changes into a single request. We explain what you can request in what changes you can and cannot request.
